Polaroids: volume 1

Roger Ballen’s Polaroids vol 1, commissioned for Reflex Gallery, features 150 unique images showcasing his first color work. This collection extends his ongoing series, blending nostalgia with a new vision. Ballen began using polaroids in 1963, enchanted by their unique quality. After moving to South Africa, he captured the fascination shared by those he photographed. With a design by Staat Amsterdam and an essay by Wim van Sinderen, this hardcover edition (144 pages) is limited to 850 copies and published by Reflex Editions.
